I'm running Snow Leopard 10.6.6 (via Hazard's 10.6.6i Distribution)

I've installed the Legacy Kernel 10.6.6. It claims to support x86_64 on AMD. However, everytime I start it up with the flag 'arch=x86_64', I get a kernel panic. Here's a picture of it:

My specs are as follows:

- AMD Athlon 64 x4 2.8ghz

- Asrock A780GXE/128M (SB700 iirc)

- nVidia Geforce 9800gtx+ 512mb

- 4gb PC26400 RAM

I'm starting to see software that runs only in 64 bit mode. This worries me if I can't get it. Any help would be appreciated.

On an unrelated note, if anyone knows how to upgrade to Lion and would be willing to point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it.

arch=i386 -force64 is the way to go since these Kernels only support userland 64 bit mode and on top of that u have to patch ur amd bins in order to have all programms working (search the board for that loads of tutorials)
