Partial success on custom-built i875/GFFX5200

I've got a DVD image with slipstreamed TPM/Rosetta patches.

 

CPU: P4-2400HT S478

M/B: ASUS P4C800 Rev. 2.00 (SoundMax 1985, 3Com940, ICH5R)

RAM: Kingston DDR333 2x512Mb

VGA: Palit NVIDIA GF FX 5200/128Mb

HDD: Hitachi Deskstar 120Gb (AVVN series)

 

VIA VT6306 FireWire

Samsung 852 Combodrive

EPSON Stylus R300 USB printer

 

Installation itself came smoothly, almost everything works as in HCL, but:

 

3Com 3C940 GigEth seemed to be detected, but haven't tested it - this is standalone PC

 

Sound doesn't work. No input, no output, no jack-sensing. It might, but I had neither time nor desire to edit kext's. Maybe anyone can tell something on making it work (if possible) after installation.

 

Firewire works OK, but (obviously) no traces of connected Epson Perfection 4990 scanner.

 

USB works ok at least as 1.1, mass storage ok.

 

Haven't tested burning CDs, anyway, it seems to work

 

VGA: 1024x768@60, no QE/CI, unable to change parameters directly in system preferences (as it is in HCL)

 

Printer works ok, but only in default mode, any settings and ink levels (with original cartriges) unavailiable.
