halo2rox
I created my "Hackintosh" a few weeks ago. Everything worked great except a few programs. Ichat has never worked for me, safari still quits sometimes, and the screensaver preference panel quits when I run it. At first I thought this was a sse2, sse3 problem because I wasn't sure if my computer supported sse3. I do know that it supports hyperthreading. I don't know if that is the same thing. Well, I installed the sse3 emulator and it didn't do a dang thing. All it did is freeze in the middle of the install. After all this, nothing has changed and all those applications still don't work. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong and what I should do? Thanks, halo2rox Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/26741-sse2-sse3-help-needed/ Share on other sites

halo2rox
Sorry about that. Didn't know how much you would need. I have an Intel Pentium 4 3.2 GHz with hyperthreading. and 512 MB of RAM. Mebster
Your P4 processor has SS3 so the SS2 patch isn't needed. I would recommend trying a different OSX patched DVD. If you used Jas's then use Myzar's. One gave me some problems but when I used the other everything seemed to work fine. At least download it as you continue to search for a solution.
