J-B
Hi, i've also an acer timelinex 5820. With this nice howto here from the forum http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=254328 i got it to work with QE. I also have no sound after booting my machine. All i get is a short hiss noise and then nothing. I used to hear something by using a cheap USB-audio-adapter i bought by amazon for a few euros. I connected the output of the USB-audio-adapter with the mic in on the notebook and it's working nice. And there is an other way to get the sound to work without an external adapter: After suspend the sound is working althought suspend isn't working correctly. The machine wakes up immidietly after the suspend command. The other problem with this method is that the graphic seams to be corrupted after the suspend. It's like the color palete is changed or something, so that the graphic doesn't seem to displayed correct. It's really ugly and hard to ignore it... And sorry for my bad english Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/267355-help-with-alc269-acer-5820tg/#findComment-1775569 Share on other sites
