XFX ATI 5670 1GB on Lion

Hi

 

For the past weeks I've been trying to fix my problems with my XFX 5670 1gb graphics card on Lion

 

it worked flawlessly in 10.6.7 with GraphicsEnabler=yes with the latest Chameleon (Chimera) and I also had QE/CI, using Baboon as default framebuffer. Nonetheless after 10.6.8 it stopped working.

 

I managed to install and boot Lion using ati's 10.6.7 kexts and adding my max resolution (Graphics Mode) as a flag in org.chameleon.boot.plist. I've tried a handful of different framebuffers without success, Baboon is the best one so far.

 

I've tried a lot of solutions; booting with GE=no (the card should be natively supported), adding device ID and vendor id to ATI5000Controller.kext (Device id= 68D8 Vendor Id= 1002), using netkas' ATY_init.kext, etc.

 

I already ran out of ideas and I want to avoid going back to SL, is there someone who got it working?

afaik, Sapphire 5670's card work OOB... and so should XFX.
