t13rteen
Hello, my first post here! So, I'm very new to the Hackintosh scene, I'm currently running iDeneb 10.5.5 on my Insys M761SU laptop without any major issues: restart and sleep work, shutdown too, except it doesn't turn off the power, NVinject working fine with my Nvidia 9300M, usb works just fine, my laptop's web camera isn't recognized of course and my wireless card (RTL8781B) works fine w/ Realtek Utility. But my desktop, which was running Windows 7 is now dead, the mobo must've suffered from a shortage or something. So I'm looking to build a new machine, and these are the components I'll be getting: - Motherboard: Gygabyte GA-G41M-Combo w/ Intel chipset G41 ICH7 (Around 57€/80$US) - CPU: Intel Pentium D E5700 3GHz (Core2Duo) [Around 53€/74$US] - NVIDIA 430 GT 1GB DDR3 (Around 89€/125$US) I'm on a tight budget so I can't really afford much more. I just wanted to know if I would be able to run retail SL or Lion, or even a OSx86 distro, whatever, just not Leopard, without much tweaking and all on these specs. I'm not really knowledgeable in dealing with troubleshooting in OSx86, just some minor stuff like installing kexts, kernels and all that, but I'm willing to learn of course. Also, would my DWL-G122 usb dongle work fine with OS X? Is there a way I could get Airport on my Hackintosh? Thanks a lot! I hope I can start contributing more to this community from now on!
