The nvidia drivers that ship with Snow Leopard don't support Fermi architecture video cards. You must install the Quadro 4000 drivers from nvidia.

If you can't update to 10.6.8 (minimum requirement for the latest Quadro 4000 drivers) you need to find an older version of the drivers that will work with 10.6.6. Older versions are still available for download at nvidia's website.

The drivers will only install on a Mac Pro, this is clearly stated on the driver download page. On a Hackintosh, this means you must be using a MacPro3,1, 4,1 or 5,1 model identifier. Otherwise you will get that message.

If you don't want to mess with your model identifier, you can open the driver install package (right click, show contents) open distribution.dist inside with textedit and change the model identifier requirement so that it matches whatever you're using.

Great ;) QE/CI are enabled with this driver :P

If you (another guys with problem for enabler QE/CI) have not enabled QE/CI on nVidia GT 440, you will install the nVidia driver for mac Quadro series. Bye e thanks 1000 :P
