Mark Zou Posted September 17, 2005 Share Posted September 17, 2005 Hi i've recently downloaded the Tager-x86.tar 1.28G, and i want to install on my Dell inspiron 9300 I've already have Winxp on C:, and i have 2 extra partitions (on the same physical drive), I'd like to keep my Winxp, and install OSx86 on another partition, and when i boot up my computer i;d have choices between go into winodw, or OSx86 in the booting menu. MLS Posted September 17, 2005 Share Posted September 17, 2005 I have installed Osx86 on an Inspiron 1100 that already had an XP partition, using this image 1.3GB image from a knoppix CD, it was a success. (look at my recent posts via my profile if you want the method I used) Are you wondering which bootloader to use ? Both should let you boot the two OSes, at least in my experience. Have you looked at the HCL ? A few people had luck with your machine. The page "Install On A Partition Simple And Accurate" on the wiki explains how to use this image, have you looked at it too ?
