Hey all,

Im trying to connect my Macbook "Office" to my Windows Xp "Home" on different networks.

Iv used the Connect To server with the following comment line smb://IP ADDRESS

after a few minutes i get an error

"Finder cannot complete the operation because some data in smb://IP address could not be read of written. Error Code -36"

i have port forwarding on the windows network router for ports 137 - 139 and 445 to forward to the windows machine i also opened those ports in the windows firewall.

I have also followed apples instructions on creating the plain text passwords.

Any help would be great!

Thanks
