drkohaku
Hello, this is my first experience with OSx86 and with the extensive amount of tutorials and other materials, I need a friendly bump in the right direction. If someone could point me to a tutorial that would allow me to get a fully working OSX install with my hardware, I would be really grateful. My specs: Motherboard: MSI 790GX-G65 (790GX+SB750, HDAudio lossless bluray codec) CPU: AMD Phenom X2 560 (unlocked to 4 cores) Memory: 4096MB DDR3 1333Mhz GPU: Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5770 Hard Drive 1: WD Caviar Black 640GB SATA Hard Drive 2: Samsung 320GB SATA (this will be used to house OSX at first, later will be "moved" to HD1) DVD drive: Generic SATA DVD drive USB wi-fi: rt2870 Some key points: - I don't have access to another Mac. - I'm using Windows as my main OS atm, although I have access to a Linux box. - I'm doing this partially for fun and as a learning experience. - I want to take full advantage of my GPU, install Steam and play some games. - I want to get it to a point where it would "just work" (for a while at least). - I would like it to be as up-to-date as possible (10.6.8?). - I'm not computer illiterate, I have some Linux/Unix experience, although not much Mac experience.
