bautzen
Hi to all, I would like to enable my internal Fingerprint Reader AuthenTec Inc. AES2501A but I'm not able to decompile/compile and in general manage code's stuff, for that reason I would like to ask you some help for me and all other with the same issue. Under System Profiler it has recognized correctly as: DeviceID: 0x2580 (9600 in Decimal) VendorID: 0x08FF (2303 in Decimal) I have just tried with UPEK Truesuite 2.x without success, I think that it's something related to llusb.bundle driver under /Library/Application support/UPEK/... that recognized only 2 or 3 Thomson hardware. Change Info.plist naturally doesn't help. I have open the file llusb with an hex editor and change the code from 0x2016:0x0483 (one supported device) to 0x2580:0x08ff but .... no success. I have found on Internet a MAN that was able to recompile frpint LINK to OSX 10.5.6 with success. HERE for reference. I would like to know if someone here is able to try a porting to OSX Snow Leopard 10.6.x maybe integrating something like Fingeprint GUI used for Linux and Ubuntu. LINK fprint seems to support almost all fingerscanner hardware. I hope to find someone with the patience to enable this interesting feature Thanks to all Patrick Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/266337-integrated-fingerprint-reader/ Share on other sites

I'm am completely newbie as programmer/developer and I'm not able to understand the complexity of a porting like this. Is it possibile something like to "compile" a OSX driver from source libfprint and replace the llusb.bundle of UPEK software?? (I think to have written something of idiot!! :censored2: ) Is it so complex instead attempt a porting of the freeware Fingerprint GUI to OSX? An answer will be great appreciated Thank you Pat Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/266337-integrated-fingerprint-reader/#findComment-1741544 Share on other sites
