mars0124
So I have installed OS X 10.6.? last night using SnowLeo on my AMD x64 machine in hopes of having a Hackintosh running with my iPad 2 and Apple TV 2. After selecting a variety of kexts that were picked arbitrarily (for lack of documentation of my computer type) I have an installation that I can boot to Single User mode, or Safe Mode. I realize on a fresh install this likely means that I am either missing a kext, or have one installed that does not belong. When trying a 'proper' boot it crashes - the best that I can see when set to verbose is that I am having problems with USBEHCI (not responding in less than 100ms). What I am hoping for here is not instructions on what kext/kernel modules I need, but rather how to determine this information for myself. So step 1) How do I determine what is causing my problem? /var/log??? Many thanks for your help! George Hint: I am using NForce MCP61 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/266267-general-post-os-x-install-support/ Share on other sites
