Yaotzin666
Hello, I recently just installed Snow Leopard onto a Dell Vostro 1500 and tried to upgrade to 10.6.8 and started to run into some issues. The first issue is that I am getting a kernel panic when I try to boot that deals with VoodooBattery which is part of my bootloader. I have tried to remove Voodoo battery from my bootloaders Extensions.mkext but that caused a "No HPETs" issue. I have also tried to update VoodooBattery to 1.3.3 which caused the same HPETs issue. Here is an image of the KP My second issue is that when I am in safe mode everything is really slow now and I also cannot get into System Preferences and my wireless has stopped working. The moment it opens it will crash. Thank you, Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/266196-vostro-1500-update-1068-issues/ Share on other sites
Yaotzin666
Everything is working now. I reinstalled 10.6.3 then before I ran 10.6.8's combo update I backed up AppleACPIPlatform.kext, IO80211Family.kext and IOPCIFamily.kext then copied them back over once the update was done. Now the only issue that I have is getting Sleep to work and getting the Battery Icon to show up.
