matthewsmart
Hello, I've been researching the board, and I have a general idea as to what DSDT is. I can extract the DSDT file from my system (an Asus F8Va notebook) and decompile it using iasl. I downloaded the dsdt editor from this forum and I can edit the file and view it, but my question is this: How do I know what to patch? Should I just download all the patches, concatenate them into one file and apply them to my DSDT? If not, how do I pick and choose? Thanks for any help! I can't run the app right now because I'm running ubuntu since the network card doesn't seem to work on my osx86 install. EDIT: I'm not allowed to upload a dsdt, so it's available here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2146886/dsdt.dsl

matthewsmart
dsdt.matthewsmart.zip Awesome man! Thank you very much. Now for my next question: is it possible to get ##### to recognize this DSDT? Because it has problems seeing any internal drives (I can install on a sata drive over USB, but that's slow and not ideal)

matthewsmart
what's the problem? I've set my sata bus, through bios, to 'compatible' so it should be recognized as ahci, but when I load up #####, it can see the optical drive, usb drives, but not the internal hard drive.
