tjlatour
Im going crazy trying to figure this one out. Im posting here in hopes that someone else has had (and resolved) this problem. Please have a listen to the attached file. This is the sound I get when I load up pro tools, or any audio application (even firefox). The sound goes away when no applications are open. I've tried using various power outlets throughout the house. It doesnt seem to be a grounding issue. Please make it stop! todesto
I don't know what audio chip set it is....but try this one anyway. I had static noise for unknown reason and googled to find out to play with AudioMIDI setup. go application/utilities/AudioMIDIsetup and see where is set at. play with the frequencies and see if that helps. It worked for me. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/266060-audio-statichiss-problem/#findComment-1740599 Share on other sites
