leanderK Posted August 19, 2011 Share Posted August 19, 2011 I have got an Lenovo y560 with an i3 350M and a ati 5730 M and Mac OSX 10.6.newest. Normally I have discrete graphics in my bios, but, because I was borde I tryed manors Qe/CI. I booted, it had lots of errors, wrong bios image etc. (my dsdt doesn´t work anymore because of the new graphics). I could boot into gui, no custom resolution, but had no ripple effect. With gl viewer (or sth like that, you can download it in the appstore), I got all gl extensions. In the system-profiler it shows 2 graphic-cards, intel, i htink not the right specs, and one unknown(why?? in discrete I had it recognized and everything working). After that I run terminal kextstat, I had only appleintelhdgraphics.kext loaded, no AppleIntelHDGraphicsGLDriver Bundle. I started IOregistryexplorer and Safari when the worst thing happened. The system became irresponsible, after rebooting the hdd makes some strange noises (sth like a melody). I can´t boot anymore. I would like to post pictures and the IOregistry.....but . Whats happened to my hdd?? How?? /Edit: post questions immediately, maybe I will remember the answer.
