ATI Radeon HD 3300

I just successfully installed iDeneb 1.6 Lite Leopard 10.5.8 without a hitch on my Asus m4a78-e

I got the sound working although when I change the volume it stays at the loudest setting

But I can live with the audio problem. My issue now is getting a better resolution for my onboard ATI Radeon HD 3300.

I've done lot's of searches and have come up with a couple of (possible) fixes, none of which seem to work though

 

One of the fixes I've tried is dong's RadeonHD.kext, found here, but osx will not boot after. So I remove it and everything is ok.

I've tried using the ATY_inject.kext on the install dvd, but that also doesn't work.

 

So I've run out of ideas and was interested if anyone was able to resolve this issue. I don't really care about QE but as much functionality would be awesome. If anyone has had any luck let me know! Thanks in advance!
