JLayneC Posted August 15, 2011 Share Posted August 15, 2011 hopefully someone can help because i am confused... so here it goes. i am trying to install OSX 10.6 (retail dvd of SnowLepord) on my system using Namcom's ModCD 3.1 (have also tryed the ModUSB) also using http://www.kexts.com/desktops/9746-guide-os-x-10-6-amd.html for the guide... also my mobo is a NFORCE board. my system specs are CPU: AMD Phenom II x6 1090T MoBo: ASUS M4N98TD-EVO (this is a NVIDIA NForce 980a SLI Board) Ram: 16GB GSkill Ripjaw 1333 (4x 4GB) GPU: GTX 580 BLACK OPS Edition x2 PSU: 1200w HDD: 120GB (whatever was originaly in my macbook pro before i upgraded the hdd, so this is actual apple hardware) im getting Still Waiting for Root Device iv tryed setting Sata to AHCI, iv also tryed IDE all to no avail. picture is attached also link to it on imgshack http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/5445/img51441.jpg also whats the IRC i can ask on? Your MOBO uses the NVIDIA nForce 980a SLI chipset and so you need to use an AppleNForceATA.kext in /Extra/Extensions.......but your error message also suggests that OS X cannot take control of the High Speed USB bus from the BIOS...... I am assuming that you have enabled all USB options in BIOS and are using a patched kernel and Chameleon 2.0 RC5.......thus in org.chameleon.Boot.plist include: <key>EHCIacquire</key> <string>Yes</string> and see if it makes a difference.......
