RougeAgent Posted August 14, 2011 Share Posted August 14, 2011 I'm on my 3rd day fighting to get any copy I have of SL to install on Vbox. I have tried using a 2 Hazard distros and a VMware version for VMware and now a retail of 1.0.6 in DMG format. I keep reading that the retail version will work best over the Hazard version, and I would prefer the Vbox over VMware because of better sound support. I have the latest version of VBox 4.12. So now I'm trying to convert this sucker and its a no go. I am using this guide: http://www.takwing.idv.hk/tech/virtual/vb4...nowl/index.html The retail I have is: Mac OSX Snow Leopard 10.6.3. It's a DMG format. It's 6.13 gigs My PC is a laptop with these specs with 4 gigs of ram: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/documen...product=4125444 Perhaps someone knows of a better guide or SL disk version that's known to work on my machine. Heck I just wanna run it in Virtual Box anyway. I'm stuck at the apple boot screen after installation on first boot, when the system is supposed to be finishing install. I either get a grey apple screen that just sits there or a screen that says I need to reboot my computer, please hold down the button then hole it down again to reboot.. something like that.
