MGoBlue01
I have the Acer Revo R1600 with an Nvidia ION (0x087e) chip. I have installed retail 10.6.3 with the help of the S10 Lenovo installer (1.1.17 version) Updated with the 10.6.7 Combo Update (download version). Installed 4 gig RAM. Disabled audio and use a USB dongle for sound recognized as Generic USB Audio Device. So far so good. I am stuck, though, on a video solution. Resolution is stuck at 1600x1200 (a 4:3 resolution) which is crappy on any 16:9 monitor. I have tried to force resolutions with Graphic Mode= statements, I have tried NVInjectors and NVEnablers and installing kexts and deleting kexts and repairing permissions and everything I could find on Google and even {gasp} Bing. I'm at a loss. I hate to give up so close to the finish line, as the darn thing is otherwise incredibly stable (even get to use the Mac App Store to my amazement). But the video card issue has me stumped, and it affects usability because refreshing is strange on occasion and blinking/flashing cursor arrows in some apps. Plus everything looks crushed in Safari and other apps due to the resolution stretching. Can anyone point me to a video driver that works with the above chip? You are all my last great hope. Intel Atom N230/1.6 GHz Nvidia iON LE (0x087e 0x00b1) HDMI (which only works at 1024 resolution) Please help.
