I recently installed Mac os x on my Dell xps L401x laptop with Windows 7 preinstalled with the following steps:-

1.) Use New Com Mod CD

2.) Insert IatKos s3v2 dvd.

3.) Customize with options.(VoodooHDA, ApplePS/2, No FakeSMC, No RTC patch, AHCI sata, SleepEnabler, GraphicEnabler, Chameleon RC4, rest are defaults.)

4.)Install RTLxxx driver.

5.)Install Nividia package for mac os.

6.)After that everything works fine except my WIFI airport because my Intel N 1000 is not supported.

But now the problem is i am facing boot0:error if i didn't reboot from New Com Mod dvd.

To eliminate this issue i entered into my windows 7 operating system using ModCD and used diskpart utility to make

Windows my active partition.

Now everything works fine but everytime, i have to insert the dvd to enter into mac environment.

I also tried using EasyBCD but it is giving me error like this:-

Could not load file or assembly sorttbls.nlp or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the specified file.

On the same position i also tried with Chameleon RC 4 but its not working after installing the pkg no chameleon screen found after reboot!

Please help to reboot my machine with multiboot options.

Thanks

  • 2 weeks later...

I reformat my Windows 7 drive make Mac OS partition active. After that reinstall my Mac OS X 10.6.4 Retail version.

After that i saw the chameleon screen. It works correctly. But while chameleon is booting.

It gives me following error:-

ACPI table not found: DSDT.aml,

No DSDT found, using 0 as uid value.

Using PCI-Root UID value:0

nVidia geForce GT420M 0 MB NVC1[1ode:odf1]::pciRoot(0*1,....)

After a while my machine gets restarted because of this.

I think a DSDT.aml file is needed in extras folder. Is there anyway i can skip this check to make it all correct!

Is there any way i can make one perfect DSDT with all my configurations using some tool!

Thanks
