Snow has no support for agp. Only pci-e. The only way is to trick Snow to make agp appear as pcie.

Here is a topic on board for Geforce6200agp on Snow. A modified ATY_init does the trick there. Search this forum.

Leopard 10.5.8 was the last with official Agp, because some PPC G4/G5 Powermacs had this built in , but no Intel Mac ever came with AGP, and therfore in Snow no support for it.

hmm...it seems my problem also includes the ati4600controller itself....i can not load it without a black screen or a locked up pc to recap: i'm on 10.6.8 now...tried evoenabler various boot files...have gotten as far as a blind login no display...or remove ati4600controllerkext i'm using controller kext F+framebuffer kext and support kext from 10.6.3 to get this far...10.6.8 kexts lock me up...i'm using a modded chameleon boot file that includes my id 0x94951002 and uses the eulemur framebuffer...it loads without the aticontroller and displays injected values in profiler.......

..............i use a version of aty_init that detects my agp as pcie.....and... i attempted to add my id to ati4600controller inside ati4600controller.kext and i get this error attempting to load and diagnose...

me thinks i goofed....

...but no acceleration....only resolution change...

how can i link the newer 10.6.8 AtiX2000.kext in order to have it function with the older ati4600controller, atisupport, and atiframebuffer?(it does load but does not initialize)no QE/CI

oh...using evoenabler with flicker for framebuffer and agpgart

i'm going to attempt again with the aty_init that fakes the agp port to pci-e

here's my ioregistryexplorer output....shows Ati4600Controller@T?4600controllerloaded.zip

got ati support framebuffer and 4600controller from 10.6.5 loaded now...have res change but no acceleration ...X2000 kext loads but not showing up in ioregistryexplorer here's my latest outputRustyBalls___s_Mac_Pro_now_.zip

so close i can taste it... :) still on 10.6.8
