Hi,

 

I have been installing Snow Leopard on my Sandy Bridge HM65 PC and noticed that their are almost no guides for the Sandy Bridge HM65 so i decided to make a guide of my expiriences installing Snow Leopard on a Sandy Bridge HM65 PC.

1. Preparing Installation

1.1 First of al you need to find out what network card you're useing.

Go to Start -> Control Panel -> View Network Status and Tasks ->

Change Adapter Settings -> Right-click "Properties and try to find a kext for your network card.

1.2 Download [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] from tonymacx86.

1.3 Copy both files to a USB drive

 

2. Bootloader

2.1 Download [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] Legacy from tonymacx86 and burn the ISO to a DVD.

 

3. Installation

3.1 Restart your PC and boot from the [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] Legacy disk.

3.2 Install Snow Leopard on your PC. Note: Do not instal Snow Leopard on the same drive as your windows.

If you want to make a dual boot on the same drive try google to find a guide.

3.3 After the installation is finished boot from the [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] Legacy disk again and select the drive you just installed

you're Snow Leopard on.

 

4. Internet

4.1 Now insert the USB drive with the Network Card kext and the BridgeHelper.

4.2 Copy the Network Card kext to you're desktop

4.3 Instal [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url]

4.4 Restart you're PC

 

5. Update

5.1 Download the 10.6.6 Combo Update from Apple

5.2 Install the 10.6.6 Combo Update

5.3 Restart you're PC and boot with the [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] Legacy Disk

 

6. Sandy Bridge HM65

6.1 Download [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] and BridgeHelper

6.2 Instal [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] and select [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url], System Utilities and the MacBook Pro 8.1 Definition

6.3 Instal BridgeHelper

6.4 Restart you're PC and boot from your drive

 

7. Resolution

7.1 Open Finder and go to /Extra

7.2 Open com.apple.boot.plist

7.3 Add the following lines to the document

<key>Graphics Mode</key>

<string>YourxResolutionx32@85</string>

Replace Your Resolution with your screen resolution

7.4 Restart your PC and it should boot into the right resolution

 

Done

 

 

If you installed Snow Leopard to your External Hard Drive and you get the boot0: error when you try to boot then you need to follow the guide below.
