MasterKaos
Hi, I installed Snow Leopard Hazard 10.6.6i on a dual core, mother asus P5GC-MX/1333, nvidia 9600 and it worked flawlessly, network, sound and video auto detected very well. Next I updated to latest combo official update (10.6.8?) and I got a kernel panic with a SleepEnabler error. I updated the appropriate kext to match kernel version and the error was gone. Now my problem is my GUI, it´s freezing too, as you can see with more detail in this video: As this is a dual boot machine, the latest image is a mix of my Windows 7 login and desktop wallpaper, which I guess is still in the video memory and the system halts when displaying it. Any idea about how to solve it? Regards, Omar Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/264611-frozen-gui-after-patching/ Share on other sites
ma0
Oh, you were running a patched kernel before the update. Next time update regularly but before you restart you need to install legacy kernel 10.6.8 then restart.
