Joe Crozier
Hey all, I apologize in advance for what is more than likely a very basic question, however Google searches have been fruitless so far and I'm left with no other place to turn. Currently, I have my 10.6 installation on an external USB harddrive and is working at more or less 100%. It boots up quickly and rarely crashes or behaves abnormally. My only issue is that I am unable to see or access my internal Windows drive which houses all my music, TV shows, and documents. On my laptop on which I run a similar setup (two internal harddrives, one for OS X, the other for Windows) both drives are visible under both OS's, so I know that it's definitely possible. Is there a bios setting that I'm missing, or perhaps some kext I require to make this work? Thanks in advance! 3.14r2
On your PC (we all know its hardware ) probably the on-board disk controller is not working. Most likely it is not working as there is no driver for it present. Most likely it is not working as there is no driver for it present. That certainly seems to make sense. I do remember that when running 10.6.0, all the drives were visible, however after updating to 10.6.8, the problems started occuring. My mobo is an MSI P55A-GD55. Should I be looking for a kext of some sort?
