Hi

I have just got my new hackintosh hardware today. But I ran into a problem. I have made a USB drive installer for Snow Leopard retail 10.6.3, but as soon as I try booting the installation media, it constantly reboots. I have tried with -v -x busratio=29, -v -x busratio=30, and also with the cpus=1 boot flag. Have tried Chameleon 2 RC2 r640, Chameleon 2 RC5 r877 and Chameleon 2 RC5 r1011. Same result everytime.

I have no DVD drive, so installation must be made from USB. I have another hackintosh, which can use the SATA harddrive, if neccessary.

System specs:

CPU: Intel Core i3 2100 3.1GHz

Motherboard: GigaByte GA-PA65 UD3 B3 rev. 1.0

Graphics: GeForce 7300GS 256MB

Harddrive: SAMSUNG 250GB SATA

I have set HPET to 64-bit mode, set SATA controllers to AHCI

Thanks in advance

Your problem is the absence of a DVD drive. So you must burn the Regae Iso image on a USB (help you with google)

Give me a feedback

Good Luck

Now I got it working, but the way I did it was using my old hackintosh, with the new harddrive, installing SL and using tonymac's updatehelper for sandy bridge systems, updating to 10.6.8, changing SMBIOS from MacPro 3.1(caused KP) to iMac 12.1 SMBIOS, and switched back the harddrive. Now I can almost reach the desktop, but right before it has finished booting, I get KP, and it says:

"CPU 3 has no HPET..."

What should I do now? How can I fix this, so that I can finally get into my system?

EDIT: I have found out that I need a DSDT.aml, which may fix the problem. The problem is, that I don't have a Windows system to do the BIOS upgrade from stock F5 BIOS to F6, which is the DSDT.aml I can find.
