chinabean
Ok so I have a Asus A8n-Vm CSM mobo with the Nvidia AD1986A sound chip, and I cannot get anything to work! The VEN_ID: 11D4 DEV_ID: 1986. I have put the string "0x11d41986" into AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext's info.plist (with no luck). I also put "ADS78" as suggested somewhere in the forums into the AppleAC97CodecAD198x.kext's info.plist When kextloading these files they complete sucessfully however in the sound manager I never see an output. Does anyone else have this exact device ID and gotten sound working? I have a feeling I need the ascii code for AppleAC97CodecAD198x.kext because I dont think ADS78 is the right one for this vendor's chip... Any help appreciated!
