Hello InsanelyMac Forum! This is my first post.

I've been reading the threads on this forum for some time (months maybe), but just now I decided to actually post something here, after finally getting a working Snow Leopard on my motherboard. I plan to write a tutorial for the 10.6.8 on a P5K-E Wifi/AP when I get the issues on my system fixed. So I hope you guys can help me.

So, I installed Hazard 10.6.6i on my setup then updated it to 10.6.8 and got almost everything worked flawlessly except for two issues.

My video isn't working properly, the 4850 doesn't gets recognized and therefore I cannot change resolution and enjoy the full potential of my card.

It's been awhile that I've been digging for a solution. No luck.

"About This Mac" displays as an ATI card with 5mb ram which I think it means it's on VESA support.

I tried forcing the resolution I want (1680x1050) by adding "<key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1680x1050x32</string>" to com.apple.boot.plist and I only get 1400x1050. Loading bios .rom, GraphicsEnabler and Legacy4800Controller didn't work too.

ATY_Init and QE/CI Support for 10.6.8 breaks the system. ScreenResX doesn't work too.

So, what can I do?

System Specs:

Q6600@3.42GHz

P5K-E Wifi/AP (P35/ICH9R)

Sapphire 4850 512Mb DS on LG-M228WA

4Gb DDR2 800MHz@761MHz

RTL8187L Wlan/AD1988B Audio/88E8056 Lan

IDE LG DVD-RW

IDE Maxtor 160Gb (Hazard OSX 10.6.8)

Sata2 Samsung 500Gb (Windows Vista Ultimate x64) (disabled during osx install)

Sata2 Western Digital 500Gb (Windows 7 x64) (disabled during osx install)

Bios set to AHCI.

On Hazard Installation: Chameleon RC5; ATIFramebuffer; Marvell 88e8056; RTL8187L(not working/second issue); JMicronATA; AHCISataFix; DSDT_Patcher; NTFS

After Installation: VoodooHDA 2.7.2

For short: I have 1400x1050 resolution only, and I suppose no QE/CI. And the wlan RTL8187L isn't working (keeps connecting and reconnecting)(maybe the driver isn't x64 compatible?). Let me know if you need more info.

Thank you since now. I hope you can help me out.
