g0ldf1n93r
Hi, I'm trying to run Mac OS X Lion 10.7 pre-installed image on VMWare Workstation V7.1.3.324 on: MSI 870A BANG FUSION (Chipset AMD® 770+SB710) AMD Phenom II 965 AM3 3.4Ghz (support AMD Virtualization Technology) 4 x 2GB KINGSTON DDR3 1600(HYPER-X/Pair)1.65V And, I have run the macosx_guest_vmware_7.tar.gz as an un-locker as well from: (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=220750) I get the following error message from VMWare, when I tried to play the Mac OS X Lion 10.7 pre-installed image: "CPU has been disabled by the guest operating system. You will need to power off or reset the virtual machine at this point." Friends tried it on another machine running Intel Core I5 and it runs perfectly. Maybe the un-locker is for Intel CPU? Anyone knows if there's any un-locker for AMD CPU. Any help is greatly appreciated. Zenith432
The unlocker is for any CPU, but Apple's vanilla mach_kernel is for Intel-only. You're going to have to wait until someone makes an AMD kernel for Lion. Dr.Brot
Same error with an AMD PII X4 965. Is there any way to get Snow Leopard working? I currently get the same error with SL and Lion.
