I recently put Kalyway's 10.5.6 on my Asus A8N-SLI and it works fine.

I wanted to upgrade to snow leopard and chose the Hazard 10.6.2 client/server disc.

Install was fine and it completed sucessfully but on the initial boot, it will go through the normal white apple loading screen and then go gray, then black, then gray, then black, and so on. Every now and then the welcome video will try to start but the screen will revert to black. I did not select anything for my video card (nVidia 6600GT) but its done fine until now. I used Nvinject, I believe, for the Leopard install but another person did a tutorial for my board on Hazards disk and didn't' use one.

Should I reinstall with trial and error?

okay.

reinstalled with same kexts and added the NATIT kext for my 6600GT. Now it will grey and black screen once, then play the first few frames of the welcome video, then hit a kernel panic.

I tried to read it but it doesn't look like any other panic I've seen. There is a backtrace but it only yields hex adresses, not kexts.

Btw, here's the setup

Asus A8N-SLI

6600GT w/ 128MB

AC97 (885)

nForceATA

Chameleon 2 RC4 (Working Kalyway 10.5.2 and trying to fix Hazard 10.6.2)

okay, 10.6.2 was booting fine in safe mode until I tried to patch the DSDT (thought it might help).

Then i got a kernel panic.

so its not really an install problem anymore its a booting problem.

I tried loading it in regular mode. I get a light blue screen, the desktop for about 2 seconds, then a KP.

I noticed that when the KP comes up, there is a bunch of flickering dialog and the bottom as if more of the kp is being printed but I cant see it because the KP won't scroll.

Seriously could use some help.

much appreciated!
