Justin Edwards Posted July 23, 2011 Share Posted July 23, 2011 I've been trying everything but no one seems to have this video card on 10.6.8, It worked fine on 10.6.5, and I updated to 10.6.8, and I tried to restore the required kexts from 10.6.5, and rebooted and done everything properly, but it doesn't show login screen, just a gray screen after the apple logo disappears, I know that I am able to login, but it doesn't show anything except for the gray screen... I even tried using the 10.6.8 kexts, and instant reboot after a while, It works right now with only one modified kext, the "ATIRadeonX1000.kext" but its not auto-resolutions, I have natit, and radeonHD.kext and I think the culprit is ati1300controller.kext because I replaced that new one with old one and it causes the gray screen, I really want it to work like it did in 10.6.5, How can two minor updates trigger my video card not working, shouldn't it work? can someone help???? !!!!
