Jynx
Wasn't sure which forum to post this in. In Windows I as I'm sure others, used tools like PeerGuardian for that extra protection w/ Torrents. In OSX however, what can be used? I'm using Transmisions for Torrents (by there way is there a better one?) Thanks

macadoo
PeerGuardian OS X http://phoenixlabs.org/pgosx/ I don't use it, but I just checked out their website and they have an OS X version.
abbub
Peerguardian OS X is what I use. Azureus also has built in protection, I believe.
manbaby
Wasn't sure which forum to post this in. I'm using Transmisions for Torrents (by there way is there a better one?) Thanks There are several secure, dedicated proxy server services out there. A proxy server hides your IP address even from your own ISP. The cool thing is that not only are you surfing/DL'ing anonymously - you are also not subject to bandwidth throttling or limiting by your ISP simply because you are DL'ing! I have tried several options, with several torrent clients with varied success. I use www.torrentsecurity.com. It works great, it is cheap and it is simple to use PLUS they gave me a free trial and actually helped me set it up. Give it a try!
