Teroxgt
Hi all, After rummaging through a lot of google searches and this site to an extent, I couldnt find the solution. The problem is this: I want to install IAtkos S3 V2 on my Dell XPS M1530, but the thing is my dvd drive is dead and for some strange reason my laptop does not pick up an external dvd writer ( I have an Iomega superslim dvd ). So I cant use the dvd version. So when I was looking for a way to boot via USB, most of the searches ended up with the requirement of mac, so as to use its disk utility (or something like that). Some few searches pointed towards the Leopard HD Helper, but when I try that and try to boot, the screen gets stuck at "Loading Darwin/X86"... So right now I'm totally stuck. Here are my specs: Dell XPS M1530 Intel C2D T7700 2.4 Ghz Hynix 1 GB RAM (I had 2 GB earlier, but one of the sticks conked out and I'm not sure of the speed of the ram) 160 GB HDD Nvidia Geforce 8600m GT 256 MB GDDR3 Intel Wireless adapter (I know wifi is not going to work for me as per what I have searched but I'm fine with it) Windows 7 Ultimate x32 Could anyone here point me to any tutorial for setting up a bootable usb in windows. Thanks... Update: I tried again using the leopard hd helper, but this time when i tried booting up it came as "Missing Operating system"...
