Getting OSX onto a Samsung Q430 - help required!

Hi there,

New to these forums so I apologise if my post doesn't adhere to etiquette.

I am looking to try getting Snow Leopard (and eventually Lion) working on my Samsung Q430. I found this website whilst researching the net and I think this is the place to get me started. I will use this thread to post my experiences and fixes along the way.

Before I go any further, I want to point out, during my research I found ALOT of posts on this thread about the US version of this laptop. I have the Samsung Q430-JS02UK which is the UK version. Key differences being my laptop has a single discrete Nvidia GeForce 310m graphics card.

First off, how likely am I to get a decent running machine given the follow specification:

Intel Core i3-350m

8GB RAM

Intel X25-M G2 80GB

Intel HM55

Nvidia GeForce 310m

Marvell Yukon 88E8040

Broadcom BCM4727 wireless (is this the actual card - does that sound right?)

Broadcom BCM2070 Bluetooth 3.0

Webcam SCB-0350M

Realtek ALC269

Where is it suggested I start given that I don't have access to a Mac?

Thanks for any help.
