v10gta Posted July 16, 2011 Share Posted July 16, 2011 Snowleo is the second distro that actually works for me, but with the both distros i get the same kernel panic! http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll263/v10gta/photo.jpg that picture is the kernel panic, with my other distro it happens on the apple boot screen. my hard drive is ATA, and i cant configure my bios, but i use the rd=disk0s2 command and that works great, if i dont use that i get still looking for boot device. and now i get a kernel panic when i use it. I use the boot commands -v -x -f busratio=20 cpus=1 and rd=disk0s2 and mach_970 and arch=i386 and none of them fix my problem what so ever. So i need help here, my specs are, The kernel panic happens during installation with the DVD. HP G42 AMD Athlon II p340 Dual-Core Processor (2.2ghz) 4GB of Ram DDr3 ATI Moblitity Radeon HD 4250 SSE ( 1 ,2 3,4a) AMD 785GX chipset So please help me resolve this problem. I tryed useing Hazards distro and kaylaway, they both give me a black screen. First time on this fourm too so please excuse my noob skills.
