Asus freezes during boot after FakeSMC

Hello all,

 

So I've been trying to install SL on my new Asus U52F-BBL9 laptop for the past few days and I keep coming to the same problem whenever I reinstall. After installation, the first boot off of [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] works perfectly and almost everything works, except the trackpad. Whenever I do the usual 10.6.8 combo update then install JUST fakesmc, it won't boot anymore. There is no apparent error, it just stops at random places in the boot process. I tried with/without [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url], and with the few flags that I know like -x, -f, and PCIRootUID=1 but to no avail. Any ideas on what's happening?
