spongmonkey
Hi chaps, this is my first post and i'm a total mac newbie. I basically want to try out osx on my laptop before possibly committing myself to buying a proper mac. anyway, I've installed OSx on my Dell Latitude D620 but I have the following problems:- mouse doesn't work no sound graphics only detected as VGA compatible characters missing from the text onscreen (can provide a picture) I assume this is all due to chipset drivers for the 945 chipset? Does anyone have any ideas? please can any instructions be simple step-by-step assuming no mac knowledge at all as I literally don't have a clue but would like to (I am a PC Engineer by trade so PCs are no problem) thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/26231-mouse-not-working-osx-on-dell-latitude-d620/ Share on other sites

A Huge Bear
I just installed 10.4.7 using the JaS DVD on a D620. I selected the GMA 900 (Tried first without, only to have many strange graphics glitches), Sigmatel audio (didn't work), and SSE2 and SSE3 patches. It works great now, although I had to disable "dual core" functionality, as it ran really slow with it enabled.
