In Windows is someothink like ATI Overdrive i think is working like speedstep . It's there some driver for OSX to automatic change the gpu speed . In windows after boot 36C in OSX Lion 50C-55C. Fans they are slowing down after osx load. I have read up on that topic, and I see now that the community has developed support for sensors readout via DSDT edits, or kexts.
