atrain
If anyone can offer my any advice: I'm currently running a soundblaster live! value (doesnt work) and the intel integrated sound (ICH - 2ch.) The sound lags when it starts, and afterwards, it keeps in sync with whatever is playing (eg: video), but it sounds quite high-pitched, and on skype others hear me as very low pitched. Although OSX has 0 support for the SB live, would it somehow have an effect on the preformance? Would there still be irq conflicts? (I've worked with too many 486's ) Also: As of the HCL 10.4.7, I've noticed that the Creative Soundblaster Vibra 128 PCI is supported. This card uses the es1371 chipset. I have a card with the same chipset lying around which I had tried earlier, but had no success with (10.4.6). Is this support new, or has it always existed, and relys on the implimentation (eg: I had some noname RTL8139D based NIC's that didnt work, though the chipset is normaly supported) Thanks for all your help, and good luck cracking 10.5 , ~Atrain Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/26213-intel-integrated-sounds-funny-and-es1371/ Share on other sites
atrain
Hmm, after going into Utilities/Audio Midi setup, it says my device does not support output. It also does not exist in the system profiler. But it does show up in System Prefs/Audio as output supported. How would I go about finding devids and such on osx86? (Like lspci on linux) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/26213-intel-integrated-sounds-funny-and-es1371/#findComment-178253 Share on other sites
