Hi guys! I have been running leopard for a while and I have noticed that it is slowly becoming more outdated. So last night I downloaded Hazard's Snow Leopard 10.6.6i AMD/Intel. This morning it finished downloading but when I tried to boot it I got some message saying:

Not an Intel Platform: Restart Fix not applied

Then it restarts.

I have a Toshiba Satellite L455D-S5976 Laptop

Hopefully someone can respond? No one has ever responded to any of my posts on here, maybe it was because it was leopard. Now I'm trying to get Snow Leopard.

Thanks!

Edit: I just thought of something horrible, and I really would like it not to be... but does Snow Leopard require PAE? Please tell me it doesn't because otherwise, I'm going to have to stick with Leopard :)

Well, since 10.4.4 (the first Intel Mac OS X), PAE has been supported. It's not something new.

Also, taken from wikipedia:

PAE is provided by Intel Pentium Pro and above CPUs, including all later Pentium-series processors (except the 400 MHz-bus versions of the Pentium M). It is also available on other processors with similar or more advanced versions of the same architecture, such as the AMD Athlon and later AMD processor models.

I would try to see what kernels are included in Hazard and choose one that supports AMD CPUs when booting the DVD.

Ok, I'll look up the kernels :)

How do I choose to boot it when I find it?

I meant if it required PAE to run. My AMD Sempron SI-42 does not have PAE (It's not the best processor, it doesn't even have dual cores)

Also, thanks for the reply, your one of the first to reply to a thread of mine that has actually helped :)

Edit: I can't find a list of Kernels :D

Edit 2: Sigh... Apparently from what I found in here... the i stands for Intel only...
