GEN3SIS
Hi all! Im currently having an issue trying to instal iatkos 10.6.6 on to my intel quad duo pc. I have a 500gb hard drive with Windows XP installed. 4GB RAM. Intergrated Intel graphics. When i boot up the iatkos dvd it was just hanging on the grey apple screen. I researched and done the -V method which shows me that it is hanging after this line "Apple16X5BUARTSYNC1 : DETECTED 16558AF/C/CF F1FQ FIF0=16" and then a small grey box. The screen stays like this for over 30mins then i just turn it off. I have done some digging and tried other methods like "#####" "thinkboot" etc but they just give kernel panics. I have also read that this line is normal and should be there but that it shouldnt hang on this line. Should i completly wipe my Hardrive? so there is no OS on there. I am hoping to duel boot iatkos and WinXP I am an advanced user with PCs but with Mac jargon i am a noob. I have done my bios settings to that which i have researched are best for my motherboard but it still hangs. ANyone with anyhelp will be GREATLY appreciated as i am desperate to use mac for my music. If you need anymore info please ask , i will be sitting here refreshing this page for replies every 5 mins Thanks in advance! Also i have had a working hackintosh in the past , i installed iatkos 10.5.8 so will be fine once i can actually get to the installation screen!
