brianlan
Hey guys, please try to advise me of my options if you can. Brief specifications of my setup. Asus P5E3 Premium - Wifi-ap @n Edition Intel Core 2 Quad, Q9450 @ 2.66 GHz 4GB Memory at 1333 MHz Asus nVidia 8800 GTS 512 (Apple Drivers by default) <-- works great out of the box. Audio chipset is AD1988B First off I have successfully installed Mac OS X 10.6.0 with ##### 3.1.1. Upgraded system to 10.6.8 (did not reboot yet). Using ##### I applied the current Premium DSDT from the P5E3 google code project (now I rebooted). Enabled both on-board gigabit network cards via kext from link below. For reference the DSDT was supplied from Asus P5E3 DSDT - Google Code Project! At this point the machine works great!! In the past (windows systems) I use the coaxial output of the sound card to drive my sound system. But I have tried various sets of drivers and all seem to only support the standard "green" audio jack. Does anyone have experience in getting the coaxial S/PDIF output enabled and supported in Mac OS X? If not is there an add-in card that I can buy to get this functionality? Thanks for your time and energy to assist me in this matter!
