3.14r2 Posted July 8, 2011 Share Posted July 8, 2011 A possible workaround is to install Windows on MBR disk, install OS X to a separate USB/Firewire/internal HDD/USB pen drive, then clone it back to MBR disk with Windows. Install Chameleon etc... It is not the only way to do this - rather one of many. Acronis ? will the other way around work , clone the Win7 partition... and put it on the OSX GPT ones? 3.14r2 Posted July 9, 2011 Share Posted July 9, 2011 It has problem installing to MBR disk, therefore in order to make it work, install it to GPT disk, then clone. Once it is cloned to MBR disk, it should work. I'd suggest Clonzilla LiveCD. Windows can only boot from GPT drive if MB has UEFI 2.x and a x64 version is used (however there are some ways to overcome the limitation). In most cases there is no point in cloning Windows to GPT disk. A separate drive for each OS is always better...
