kth
Hi, Here are my hack specs: Dell Optiplex 745 Core2Duo 4GB RAM d-link wireless USB SIIG Firewire card Nvidia 6400GS I having been running 10.6.2 happily for the past 6 months on the above, with Lion just around the corner I started looking at updating to 10.6.8. I have a separate HDD I am using for this. I am using the Hazard install CD, Chameleon and the additional Kext SMBIOSResolver which all works on 10.6.2. When I first upgraded to 10.6.8 I backed up my kexts, updated, restored and fixed permissions. This resulted in a PCI error. Second attempt I replaced a couple of kexts as per a guide I found on the net, I get a new error "waiting for boot device" I have a feeling this is related to the kext which allows interaction with the HDD but I don't know which one this is. Any help or ideas would be appreciated! P.S If anyone has an Optiplex 745 I am more than happy to advise on how to get 10.6.2 working. Thanks!!
