skdubg Posted July 4, 2011 Share Posted July 4, 2011 hello community, last few days i read many tutorials and instructions to install SL on an AMD-PC. now, SL 10.6.7 install is finished, but i cant enable the nvidia graphic card. please help me. system specs: ASUS M4N98TD EVO (NForce 980a)- Bios 1101 AMD Opteron 1389 4GB DDR3 Memory 1333MHz MSI GeForce GTX460 Hawk what i have done: - started the installation with ModCD from nawcom - use latest SL Retail 10.6.3 Build 10D575 - after desktop is coming up: - install latest Chameleon Bootloader 2.0 RC5-r1096 (with GUI) - use Kextutility to install fakeSMC from this Topic: here - and SuperNForceATA.kext - start to install Combo Update 10.6.7, after finishing --> install Legacy kernel 10.7.0 (nawcom) - restart the system and is booting from the HDD - installs NForceLAN 0.64.5 to enable Internet access next step is to enable graphic card (GeForce 460) and audio (Via VT 1708S). but nvenabler + nvinject + natit kexts doesnt work can you help me please to use this graphics card? thanks in advance skdubg UPDATE: after the reboot since update to 10.6.7, i started the update for 10.6.8 install the legacy kernel 10.8.0 from nawcom and added the modified IOPCIFamily.kext from tonymacx86.com to prevent the [ PCI configuration begin ] error after this, i started [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] to install Apple 32bit BootScreen (has GraphicsEnabler=Yes) and the USB RollBack. system is restarting and shows at chameleon a GeForce GTX460, but the monitor is going black, but active. i cant see anything. has anyone a solution for this?
