Hi all.

I have managed to get Snow Leopard 10.6.3 retail installed, booting and working but depending on my install method, there's always something not quite working.

The main problem I can't seem to eliminate is Safari and iTunes crashing and can't get audio working.

I have noticed, however that this only occurs after using the Nawcom Legacy kernel. If I don't use this kernel, Safari and iTunes work fine (iTunes doesn't crash and it will play songs but I still can't sort out the audio kexts) but if I don't use the legacy kernel, I can't boot from my hard drive.

Anyone know of an alternative to the nawcom legacy kernel? Also, any help with my audio problem would be greatly appreciated.

This was my last install method:

Install 10.6.3 retail using ##### Legacy

Reboot using ##### Legacy

Extract UserDSDT using DSDT Autopatcher

Install 10.6.7 update

Install ##### with UserDSDT and System Utilities selected

Reboot and everything other than audio and graphics are fine

- Changed graphics kexts, rebooted and graphics are fine with good resolution

This seems to be the closest I can get to my system being finished and at this point if I install the nawcom legacy kernel 10.6.7, it allows me to boot from HD but then Safari and iTUNES crash and I have to reinstall my ethernet kext.

I've also had no luck with audio. I've tried voodoo kexts, hda enablers, legacy hda enablers, gigabyte ALC kexts but can't seem to get the right combination of kexts and/or what order in install things in.

Many thanks for reading.
