I tried this guide:

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=221456

on my PC (DG31PR, core 2 duo e6550, ATI HD4870) and with no success, each time I got the apple "please restart you computer" screen after boot.

What could I be missing?

here http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.6.3#Intel it says that in order to use a retail DVD I have to update my BIOS, could it be related? (I tried updating BIOS from a windows installer but it failed)

(iAtkos v7 - 10.5.7 - runs fine with all devices functioning, is it possible to upgrade it to 10.6 and above?)

Pro tip: NEVER attempt to update your BIOS from inside Windows. Do it from a boot disk with DOS (or your BIOS Update utility in your BIOS, if you have one.)

Now. Boot with -v (verbose mode) and see what error your getting. "Please Restart Your Computer blah blah blah" doesn't tell you anything. Also, that machine should run retail.

I'm guessing I can't just install a retail DVD so is there a guide how to patch it for a PC?
