Wow, the OSx86 install process is getting really simple!

1. Nawcom ModCD to boot the 10.6.3 retail disc. No special flags needed.

2. Install, ModCD autodetected and injected necessary extra kexts, enabled SleepEnabler and ElliottForceLegacyRTC (not sure if needed), rebooted with ModCD

3. installed 10.6.7 combo update, rebooted with ModCD

4. installed latest Legacy Kernel 10.6.7, Chimera 1.4.1 bootloader, rebooted natively...

almost Everything works!!!! Both cores running, HD 4670 with QI/CE auto working with correct resolution, Extra USB ports on PCI card work, Logitech USB speakers working, Microsoft mouse working... had to install Ralink drivers for Asus PCE-N13 wireless card (not airport compatible) but works fine. Tested Half Life 2 via Steam, framerates slightly better than in windows 7 ;)

only problems:

1. PC goes to sleep and wakes up ok, except the screen doesn't come back on. Haven't updated to the latest SleepEnabler yet, this may fix that.

2. Volume buttons on USB speakers don't work, but mute button does!?!?

3. onboard ALC888S sound is untested, but VoodooHDA detects something...

4. built in memory card reader doesn;t work, not tried to fix it yet.

I have been testing OSx86 every 4 or 5 months for the past two years, this is the first time the install has been as simple as a windows installation. YOU GUYS ARE LEGENDS!

can't wait for Lion... keep up the amazing work!
