I can update and everything, but i can only boot from iatkos s3 dvd. That's the same i used to boot and install the snow retail the first time. It was the only bootcd that allowed me to boot correctly, i mean, loading the graphics correctly, my fw audio device, and also the monitor webcam. After the installation and the update to 10.6.7 i try to install the last release of chamaleon but i get kernel panic. Then, i boot correctly if i boot from iatkos dvd and then selecting the osx installation in the hard disk.

It's almost perfect but i don't wanna boot from that cd all the time. Plus, the cmos and the time in windows always gets reseted.

How can i just extract the booting from the iatkos cd and put it in the root or something? what am i missing here? by the way i'm a noob and i know just a few things, there's an efi partition, a dst file, an apple.boot.pst file, things like that, but i don't really know what exactly are those for.

My hardware:

EP-GA45-DS3 (with firewire) bios 10e

graphics 8800GT 512mb

2X2 GB ram memory 800mhz

cpu Q6600

Firewire audio device.

PS: i tried other boot cd like universal, kakewalk and others, but they always missed something, kakewalk missed the firewire but the graphics at wrong resolution, the others the graphics ok but the fw was not there, etc.

With iatkos as boot cd is almost perfect out of the box.

THANKS A LOT

you need legacyRTCkext to fix the cmos issue. or a dsdt patch, both really easy.

you could boot with the dvd then go to system profile and see which kexts are loaded then copy those kexts from the dvd to cham.

when you installed iaktos, did you select a kernel (if you didnt that means vanilla install)if you did select a kernel then you have to put that in cham too, but not if vanilla. yours should be able to boot vanilla as its intel.
