ExtendedPlay Posted June 19, 2011 Share Posted June 19, 2011 Hi to all, A few days i'm trying to run Palit ATI HD4850 512Mb on 10.6.3 (will be updated to 10.6.7) + Chameleon 2 RC5. I've tried several methods, but no one doesn't work. Well... 1. First of all, 10.6.3 with default kexts causes the kernel panic (arch=i386 doesn't help): Therefore I had to remove ATIRadeonX*.kext. 2. I tried to install LegacyATI4800Controller.kext and set GraphicsEnabler to Yes. The system still didn't boot - halted just before the desktop should appear: 1002_9442.rom + UseAtiROM=Yes don't work too. 3. I tried to edit ATI4800Controller.kext (set my DevID & VendorID) and install EVOenabler.kext. The system boots now, but instead of the desktop I get a black screen (no signal to monitor). Help me please! - - - - - - - - UPDATED - - - - - - - - Where is a mistake? That's right! DO NOT REMOVE ATIRadeonX2000*.kext - they are required for HD4850.
